Professor Raymond Akwule

Professor Raymond Akwule, our Founder and CEO, is a distinguished luminary in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, with an extensive 35-year tenure in academia, research, management, project execution, and capacity building. An Emeritus Professor of Communications and Information Technology Policy, he has led United Nations technology missions to several countries and has significantly contributed to national and international commissions on technology and development. He has been a technology adviser to many countries and leading global technology organizations and was instrumental in pioneering internet access across Africa.

Professor Michael Best – Global Strategic Adviser

Professor Michael Best is a Gravitas Associates Global Strategic Adviser. Dr. Best is Executive Director of the Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) and Professor with the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology where he directs the Technologies and International Development Lab. He was the founding director of the United Nations University Institute on Computing and Society (UNU-CS) in Macau SAR, China. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT and has served as director of Media Lab Asia in India and head of the eDevelopment group at the MIT Media Lab.
